Don't Waste Your Life

Life's a journey - don't forget to unpack.

Where it all meets

Perhaps then, it is at the cross of Christ that we find what we crave for most deeply in this world. Love and sacrifice, justice and mercy, faithfulness and grace. It is at the cross of Christ that all these meet, and if we dig deep enough into the core of our being, we will find that these are the things we will live and die for. - Me

To you, my reader. :)

There, look on me, so that you may not praise me beyond what I am; there, believe me, not others, about myself; there, attend to me and see what I have been in myself, through myself. - St Augustine

Work

After a grand total of 5 hours, I hereby declare that I have gotten NO work done on my MCYS job. Those asses have pangsehed me twice already.

Yet, without even having to come into contact with them, I must say I've gotten a little peek into their lives already. Apparently, one guy agreed to meet my fellow researcher on the day he was having his ROM. Haha.. how could he even forget it was his ROM date?

My two guys both agreed to meet me at 930, but both were not at home when I came. The second one (a Malay boy whom I agreed to meet today), sounded very cooperative on the phone, and I really didn't expect him to fly my kite. His mom was really cooperative too, but according to her, he lied to me with regards to the fact that he was working in the daytime. As she says: 'Work?! Got la! He work on the bed the whole day onli...'

Sigh. I feel quite sian that I'm at the whim and fancy of these kids who just can't be bothered to be responsible. I'm just wasting my time. It doesn't help that 70% of the names I try to contact on my list of youths are unreachable. Either their home phone lines are cut or they are just never at home. Most of them don't have a handphone number I can call either.

I guess, it really is time to test my patience.
