DDD - Dinner Date with Diana
Okay, you guys are in for a treat. After more than 6 months, I realised that I haven't posted a single picture of the mysterious 'cy' often mentioned in my blog. So yea, in this blog post there will be pictures of her. :)
We had dinner at one of my favourite places to eat at. Inexpensive, consistently wonderful Japanese food. None other than Ichiban Boshi at Esplanade. I think the ambience is really nice too!
Salmon Tataki - half-grilled salmon.. can you see it? Part of it is opaque and part translucent.. mmmmmmm....
Her dinner.. Chef's specialty for the day. Cod in black pepper sauce and a host of other nice side dishes. My only gripe is that the cod was deep-fried. Cod is a delicate tasting fish.. and deep-frying it is really not the best way to bring out the sweetness of its oily flesh.
My dinner. Grilled squid in Miso sauce.. after the squid was heated until it was very hot by the fire.. it was really good! absorbed the miso paste..
Crepe bacon handroll.. warm turkey ham, rice, and a little mayo wrapped in a crepe skin. Yum!
American Dark Chocolate.. post dinner treat at Max Brenner's! *slurp*
Her drink. Something with white chocolate and alcohol. Bad choice.. her head's throbbing now from e alcohol.. and it wasn't a very nice drink either.
Now now, that's the most wonderful part of the dinner! :)
