Satisfied
My Dear Brother Z,
Do you really believe that you have a right to be dissatisfied? Or for that matter, be 'very very disappointed'? Is it even morally right to feel that way?
Ultimately, potential is never a measure of whether we should be disappointed with our achievements or not. There are billions of people in this world who will never be able to meet the 'potential' as we so measure it. Billions who will never have the resources we have. It's simply not right to say 'thank God we have these resources and therefore I have a right to be very very disappointed because I didn't fulfill my potential'. Who defines potential anyway?
Think about it. Is it really fair or right to expect a poor child who works in a brothel to learn to see from the perspective of you, who was very very disappointed? Do you have any right to demand that at all?
PS. This is not an angry post, just some thoughts I couldnt swallow after e conversation last night.
