Don't Waste Your Life

Life's a journey - don't forget to unpack.

Where it all meets

Perhaps then, it is at the cross of Christ that we find what we crave for most deeply in this world. Love and sacrifice, justice and mercy, faithfulness and grace. It is at the cross of Christ that all these meet, and if we dig deep enough into the core of our being, we will find that these are the things we will live and die for. - Me

To you, my reader. :)

There, look on me, so that you may not praise me beyond what I am; there, believe me, not others, about myself; there, attend to me and see what I have been in myself, through myself. - St Augustine

Chats

I realised that since the advent of MSN and staying in hostel without a land line, I haven't chatted with someone on the phone for a long time.. as in the kinda long aimless chats that so build friendships but we are unwilling to invest. I miss the feeling of hearing the person's voice on the phone and being comforted that yes, the voice you hear belongs to the person you treasure and trust.

Much easier to chat on MSN where we can always say we're busy even though we're reallie just not in a mood to talk, or where we can hide our true emotions with smileys. :) These aren't the things that build friendships, and I'm really glad we can share times like that. Even though the fone call was ostensibly to talk about work, I'm glad we juz aimlessly chatted abt ppl and life and general things for 2 hours before we talked about work for 10mins. I like these friendships, they make my life so enriching.

Yet it is also kinda heart-wrenching to know that I will always keep losing many of these friends to their boyfriends. And although i think i handle these things much better now, and I'm much easier with moving on... but still there's always a bit of that kind of sourness in your heart when you look back. owell.. it's all part and parcel of life i guess.

Looking forward, I'm actually quite looking forward to the new term. Besides being super busy with a weekly activity packed every night of the week (Monday BS- will we be still known as Monday BS or tuesday BS etc?, Wed - Church cell group, Fri- Nav rally, one more night for fellowship time with my Nav housemates, and one night to relax and mug) Hmm, besides busy-ness, I'm also looking forward to my new SW modules.. i think they're gonna be awesome!!! haha..

More than juz academic stuff, I look forward to hanging out w ppl like Hobbit n Jacq n Vig in skool.. stronger and better friends than ever before.. and hanging out and eating Yong Tau Foo for breakfast and not having to talk about NUSHA stuff.. just hanging out as pals.. sorree Vig about the Yong Tau Foo, u can always haf the veges :)

Also looking forward to staying with my Nav brothers at Faberhill.. for those who don't already know, I won't be staying on campus next year, but off campus (near enough tho) with my friends. Wonder how it'll be like staying with 2 mainland Chinese, 1 Vietnamese and 2 Malaysians, and possibly an American too. how cool is that. all brothers-in-Christ cos we share the same Heavenly Father. Savour the cool food tt we'll cook for each other (if we DO cook that is.. hehe..)

will this sem be good? it remains to be seen.. i think much depends on how i walk with the Lord and how my heart is tuned to Him. When I'm right before Him, I can concentrate more on my work and my life is less cluttered and more prioritised. I hope i can do it. Lord, grant me Your grace.

Well, new sem, new time, new opportunities.

Hey vig.. let's work at your aim of CAP 5.0 togetha!

I'm sure you will find the strength and resources within you. Don't ask for a lighter load, but ask for a strong back, so that you can bear what life may throw at you :)

We'll get the 5.0 CAP bro! :D We WILL!

PS: The stars are actually further away from us than the Moon.. Sorry.. The engineer in me was screaming to rectify that.. :P
