Don't Waste Your Life

Life's a journey - don't forget to unpack.

Where it all meets

Perhaps then, it is at the cross of Christ that we find what we crave for most deeply in this world. Love and sacrifice, justice and mercy, faithfulness and grace. It is at the cross of Christ that all these meet, and if we dig deep enough into the core of our being, we will find that these are the things we will live and die for. - Me

To you, my reader. :)

There, look on me, so that you may not praise me beyond what I am; there, believe me, not others, about myself; there, attend to me and see what I have been in myself, through myself. - St Augustine

Strange encounter

I had the strangest encounter today.

Sat in one of the sessions with one of the senior therapists employed by our centre today, meaning to learn some of his skills. However, after 2 minutes, I realised that I felt like I was the one being counselled, except that I didn't have to answer any questions.

What happened was that the girl being counseled was going through almost exactly the same things as I am going through, and is almost at the exact same stage that I am at.

And some of those things he said, really made sense. So I just sat there and took in many of the things he said.

Things that are not real hardly stay.
Things that stay are usually reality.
Things that are not reality, but stay around, are usually because we make these things stay around by our choice.
It cannot be dark when I wake up tomorrow morning, because the sun will shine. But if I choose to draw the curtains and remain in the dark, then it is because of my choice to stay in the dark.
Things that are our choice, we need to decide and work on them.
Things that aren't in our control, we have to learn to accept.
