Don't Waste Your Life

Life's a journey - don't forget to unpack.

Where it all meets

Perhaps then, it is at the cross of Christ that we find what we crave for most deeply in this world. Love and sacrifice, justice and mercy, faithfulness and grace. It is at the cross of Christ that all these meet, and if we dig deep enough into the core of our being, we will find that these are the things we will live and die for. - Me

To you, my reader. :)

There, look on me, so that you may not praise me beyond what I am; there, believe me, not others, about myself; there, attend to me and see what I have been in myself, through myself. - St Augustine

Ocean Bay Resort @ Bintan!!

Woots!

What a weekend! I just spent Saturday to Tuesday on a remote little island called Bintan! haa. I shall juz blog the positives here, there were some negatives, but those shall be consolidated in another post ok! :)

Ocean Bay Resort is located at Tanjung Pinang in Pulau Bintan, about 1 hr 45 mins ferry ride from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. After disembarking at Tanjung Pinang, it takes another 45 minutes to reach the resort by car.

If you ask me, this place isn't really that much of a resort, it's actually more of a kelong that gives us Singaporeans a shot at trying out the rustic life. Simple housing which you see in the picture above. A lot of couples stay in the rooms, but unfortunately it's not too convenient for sex. Shake the bed too much and the whole kelong will creak u know. And the partitions between the rooms are not full partitions, so if one side shit/ fart, the other room can smell/ hear it.

This scene did NOT last very long. Soon, the room became an absolute pig sty, but nope you won't get any pictures of that.

The toilets are.. erm, interesting to say the least. You shit right into the sea, and there's no flush or water heater. There's a toilet bowl la, but you scoop your own water to flush the toilet. Actually, I don't really mind this. It's rustic. I like!

Meals are taken in a '200-seater seafood restaurant', we have to pay for our own meals, even though breakfast is provided. :) A meal of 3 dishes (2 veg and 1 meat) plus rice comes up to about $5 per person. Ok la.. not say super cheap but oh well. :) That's e restaurant in the background, and CY looks like she just quarreled with SM.

More in the next post! Smell my feet!
