Don't Waste Your Life

Life's a journey - don't forget to unpack.

Where it all meets

Perhaps then, it is at the cross of Christ that we find what we crave for most deeply in this world. Love and sacrifice, justice and mercy, faithfulness and grace. It is at the cross of Christ that all these meet, and if we dig deep enough into the core of our being, we will find that these are the things we will live and die for. - Me

To you, my reader. :)

There, look on me, so that you may not praise me beyond what I am; there, believe me, not others, about myself; there, attend to me and see what I have been in myself, through myself. - St Augustine

Hen's night!

Haa.. too many unexciting and reflective posts already! I attended my very first Hen's night yesterday!! Hahaa.. some of you may think how come I, as a male, can attend a Hen's night. Well, the truth is, I don't know either. I have 14 colleagues, all of whom are female, so now that one of them is getting married, I just got invited to dinner! :)

Dinner was at Shokudo, at the basement of Raffles City. Always got long queue wan, but it was still quite empty when we went yesterday.

By the way, that was 5 slices of the best sashimi I've ever eaten in my whole life. The ones at Sakae dun even deserve to be called sashimi.

Gorgeous desserts! (i liked the waffle most!)

Mummy Jerm being mummy and cutting the food.

The calm before the storm. A moment of peace. See, I'm looking pensive talking to the Hen who's in black and looking straight into my face. The lady in yellow is my boss.

And the violence begins. Notice how KH (in red) is covering her eyes with one hand and holding off the protesting hand with another. While Jerm is at the back forcing her to wear the Hen's hat.
And we're social workers supposedly supposed to stop violence.

Initial shock coupled with a brief smile.

Wad the hell?

And finally posing gamely for a picture. She refused to walk around the restaurant or be the mascot for the Japanese Omelette stall though. :(

Great picture!

I must say, it's really quite interesting to be a part of this supposedly all-girls affair. I've never been for anything like it before, but i'm sure there are others that are WAYYYY crazier. Hahaa.. more to come? :)
