Inflation
In the light of rising inflation, here are some ways to save that wallet from going thinner:
- buy bus concession pass and die-die take bus everywhere you go, no matter how much longer the bus journey is
- eat nothing but ice-cream for breakfast, lunch and dinner on Ben & Jerry's free cone day. (29 April.. coming up!)
- buy stuff that is on sale, like Timberland shoes, Levi's signature jeans and hopefully Birkenstocks.
- stay at home every day and nua. Drink tea if you are bored.
- eat only from neighbourhood coffeeshops, it's actually a whole lot cheaper than anywhere else. (i just managed to haf a pretty good lunch.. cai fan with lots of liao for less than $3)
- wear t-shirts that they give out for events such as Social Worker's Day
- attend all the church funerals so you can eat the buffet spread after the memorial service (i know of this old old church uncle who is at EVERY funeral i've been to)
- dress nicely on Saturday afternoons, walk around where the churches are and sneak into the post-wedding refreshment receptions.
- sleep all day. hibernate. no consumption cost.
