Don't Waste Your Life

Last Saturday, after hanging out for tea-time snack and band practice, I returned home at about 6:30pm. Thought I would just straightaway dabao my dinner back and not have to come down again after putting my bag down. So as I crossed the road, I was surprised to see that there were about 4-5 Lion Dance trucks around the carpark, and A LOT of lion dancers sitting around. I thought maybe something interesting was going on.

I went to dabao my food, and as I dabaoed, the gongs started ringing, but it wasn't the usual lion dance kind of music. I passed by where the music was, and there were a lot of people there, many holding onto cameras. I took a closer look, and FWAH! it was a Chinese spirit-medium calling for the spirits to come onto him.

I was kind of scared, but I decided to go take a look anyway. And I filmed this down. There's nothing scary about the video, can just watch it. It's quite interesting though the resolution is not clear.

P.S. The medium is the guy with the super long things sticking out of the headgear he's wearing.


There's the medium on the lorry. The interesting thing was, the medium was invited up onto the lorry, and he sat a throne. Yes, no less, a throne. I guess the underlying belief was that the god was now upon him, and he can't be treated as a normal human already.
