Don't Waste Your Life

Life's a journey - don't forget to unpack.

Where it all meets

Perhaps then, it is at the cross of Christ that we find what we crave for most deeply in this world. Love and sacrifice, justice and mercy, faithfulness and grace. It is at the cross of Christ that all these meet, and if we dig deep enough into the core of our being, we will find that these are the things we will live and die for. - Me

To you, my reader. :)

There, look on me, so that you may not praise me beyond what I am; there, believe me, not others, about myself; there, attend to me and see what I have been in myself, through myself. - St Augustine

Life is not about where you go, but about the footprints you leave behind in people's hearts

I know this is kind of a shameless plug. But I'm gonna be real honest with you peeps who read my blog. Well, as most of you already know, I am helping to co-organise an overseas Expedition to Myanmar in December (which explains why I've got so many things to do now). In fact, one of the things that I really need to help do is to sell some T-shirts to raise funds to support the work that we are going to do.

1. The Work:
We will be doing several things, and amongst them building/ renovating a community centre in a slum area which will be used for the education of slum children who are too poor to go to school. We will also be helping to plant seedlings and dig a fish pond to facilitate the subsistence of two of the orphanages in Yangon. The seedlings and fish pond will yield harvests for orphanages all over Yangon who are in the orphanage network. The money you donate will go into helping these friends of ours in Myanmar.

Besides the direct work, we hope that the project will be a great platform for mentoring of some youths that we are bringing over with us. Expeditions are great platforms to talk about life, wealth, values, work ethic etc. It will be a trip that will impact many young lives.

2. The T-shirts:
Designed by professional designers specially for our project (they didn't charge us any fee), the t-shirts are COOL. Or at least, personally I really like them. Except I can't wear any cos they're too tight for me. If i succeed in actually moving to hole D (refer to previous blog post), i MIGHT actually be able to wear the team t-shirt in Myanmar. You could really help by buying so many t-shirts that Reach FSC would need to re-print a second batch, and then this time I could really make them make bigger shirts for me. If not, I'm gonna look like an orange rice dumpling (ba zhang) in Myanmar.

Each t-shirt costs a mere $12. Look, we buy shirts for $30 all the time. Guys' shirts even worse. $12 is surely affordable. Not only can you look good, you can also tell your friends about our project! :)

For those of you who'd like to get one after reading my really touching blogpost and advertisement, leave a comment/ tag, and I'll get back to you. If you suspect I don't have ur number, then leave ur number too la. If you suspect I don't have your size... well.. too bad. They don't have MY size either.

This project means a lot to me, and I really wanna see it work out. :) If you want more photos of the situation and work we will do in Myanmar, you can read this blog post.
