Don't Waste Your Life

Life's a journey - don't forget to unpack.

Where it all meets

Perhaps then, it is at the cross of Christ that we find what we crave for most deeply in this world. Love and sacrifice, justice and mercy, faithfulness and grace. It is at the cross of Christ that all these meet, and if we dig deep enough into the core of our being, we will find that these are the things we will live and die for. - Me

To you, my reader. :)

There, look on me, so that you may not praise me beyond what I am; there, believe me, not others, about myself; there, attend to me and see what I have been in myself, through myself. - St Augustine

A few days at the Arts Centre

Ever since I saw the brochures on Christchurch at the New Zealand High Commission to Singapore office, I've wanted to sit at one of those cafes they pictured in there. Alfresco, beautiful-looking glasses of coffee, seagulls flying around, people walking past, warm spring sunshine, bright grand flowers proudly showing off the splendour of their colour, Victorian architecture in the background.
I didn't get to do it until this week! Partly because previously I had to go to school and prepare readings etc on weekdays. The other reason was that in winter it's just madness to sit in an alfresco cafe! :)

Iced coffee.. :) I drank this on Monday (Labour day) got 20% surcharge! But still only $5.40.. abt e same price compared to Singapore! But this one special! Besides the usual GOOD coffee and milk, there was a HUGE scoop of icecream in it, and beautiful whipped cream on the top!
Woohoo!

Iced Chocolate yesterday! Marshmallows on the side! I swear.. smother the marshmallows in the whipped cream... MMMMMMMmmmmmmm...

My table..

Victorian architecture.. piano recitals ringing out from behind me..

Introducing.... Le Cafe!!

Well, it was just awesome to sit there for an entire afternoon, drinking coffee, people watch, read my book and my Bible, pray. Wow. No one to disturb you. No noise because this is New Zealand. I saw a girl in a high school uniform twirl herself around a lamppost in front of her boyfriend. You noe.. like the Sound of Music (i-am-sixteen-going-on-seventeen) kinda teenage romance. Awwwwww. So shhhhweeeeet.

Life's short. Drink coffee.
