Don't Waste Your Life

Life's a journey - don't forget to unpack.

Where it all meets

Perhaps then, it is at the cross of Christ that we find what we crave for most deeply in this world. Love and sacrifice, justice and mercy, faithfulness and grace. It is at the cross of Christ that all these meet, and if we dig deep enough into the core of our being, we will find that these are the things we will live and die for. - Me

To you, my reader. :)

There, look on me, so that you may not praise me beyond what I am; there, believe me, not others, about myself; there, attend to me and see what I have been in myself, through myself. - St Augustine

we've always bought our spectacles from one particular shop. Nan Fang Optical it's called. and my family has always visited it ever since i started wearing specs in primary 2.

Recently I read an article that says sth abt how ppl without specs create a better first impression (esp so for professionals) than ppl with specs. hmm.. so i was considering making contacts ever since the YC gala dinner time..

U noe. Everytime anyone mentions he wants to make contacts, the first response we have is:" take off your specs." and we go on to comment if that person looks good with or without specs.

Hmm.. how wierd. Didn't we all start out without wearing specs? Somehow somewhere along the way, specs became such a big innate part of our lives that somehow we think it's natural to wear specs. The truth is, how can we look better with specs than without specs when we all started out without them at some point in our lives? God created us without specs! (Ok, i'm talking only about the outward appearance here, not abt the pros and cons of contacts..)

How interesting. It's very much the same with our hearts. Our hearts change with time. We get caught up in the complexities of the world, the politics of e corporate ladder, the realities of a harsh world devoid of grace. And sometimes, we forget how we were like before. And we ask:" will i succeed if i don't cheat my way through? will i climb up the ladder if i dun step on someone else? will i progress if i don't compete and fight with my dearest friend?" Or we even question whether there was ever a time when we were still nice-hearted people.

Do we look better with specs or without?
