Don't Waste Your Life

Life's a journey - don't forget to unpack.

Where it all meets

Perhaps then, it is at the cross of Christ that we find what we crave for most deeply in this world. Love and sacrifice, justice and mercy, faithfulness and grace. It is at the cross of Christ that all these meet, and if we dig deep enough into the core of our being, we will find that these are the things we will live and die for. - Me

To you, my reader. :)

There, look on me, so that you may not praise me beyond what I am; there, believe me, not others, about myself; there, attend to me and see what I have been in myself, through myself. - St Augustine

Perhaps this is wat the middle-agers mean. Some say when you get to 40, life with family and children and bills, that you start pounding away at life.

Pounding away at life. Yes. What a phrase. Encompassing the drive, and craziness but also very much monotony and dread of waking up each day to find a ton of work waiting to be done.

Certainly life now is pretty crazy. It seems like I haven't reallie settled down into the weekly routines of e different lectures and tutorials, when to do what, read what and think what. And although I must say that NUSHA's high key period hasn't come yet, but somehow it's still quite crazy. Hmm.. wonder how things would be when the fund-raising drive kicks in.. woohoo..

I would say that I haven't really come to dread life (except days when i haf 8 hrs of lessons.. that's what u get for having a 3 day week.. hehe.. kill me, ppl), nor have i descended to a time of monotony, but yes. I think I am pounding away at life. Darn. I'm only 22. Yet secretly in my heart, I know that by putting in my all for this sem, I will find it more enriching and meaningful than mere studying. I wanna do more more more more more with my life. Life that is abundant, life that is full and meaningful.

Clinging on to His grace, cos He says His grace is enough for me, and His mercies are new each morning.

When I wake up tomorrow morning, I'll make it a point to smell the coffee and the flowers. :)

heyhey! =D it's funny you should mention it... weiwen and i were just talking about the whole pounding away at life concept yesterday heh. and how people walk around with the weight of the world showing on their faces. i dunno whether it's just an exaggeration or whether most working singaporeans walk around looking damn sad. so used to seeing unsmiling faces on the bus, it seems quite natural to me already.

go to UBC!!!! =DDD then can bring back stuff for me hahaha. really really you won't regret going.
