Take a good look at these two pictures.

They're scarily different, yet scarily similar.

Both are nice cute children. Both have identical physical characteristics. Both have identical mental, emotional and spiritual capacities.

Yet they're both trapped in very different worlds. What has my dear niece Mavis done to have what she has? 10 aunties and uncles celebrating her 4th birthday with her. For that matter, what have I done to deserve what I have today? Knowing enough English to type this blog, typing this blog on my laptop..

Nothing.

I've done nothing.

Precisely what the cute child in the bottom picture owns. Nothing. Not even family. Nothing. No education. Not even proper clothing. Food? Nopez. Shelter? Nope.. she stays in a refugee camp.

What has she done to deserve this kind of difficult life?

Nothing.

Precisely what my niece has done to get her good life.

Precisely what I have done to deserve my life.

Precisely what the little child has.

Precisely what she has done to deserve her life.

Nothing.

Let's do something about it.

So similar, yet....

so different
